Dr. Bisheng Shi, a partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm, was named as one of the “2022 ALB China Top 15 IP Lawyers" by Asian Legal Business (ALB) on December 20, 2022.
Dr. Bisheng Shi specializes in providing legal service regarding intellectual property and litigation & arbitration. Dr. Bisheng Shi got a Bachelor of Engineering degree from China University of Mining and Technology, a second Bachelor of Law degree from China University of Political Science and Law, a Master of Law degree from Peking University, a LL.M. degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Doctor of Law degree from China University of Political Science and Law. Dr. Bisheng Shi also conducted post-doctoral research in intellectual property law at East China University of Political Science and Law. Dr. Bisheng Shi has handled more than 2,000 intellectual property cases and commercial cases. Dr. Bisheng Shi has participated in the formulation of judicial interpretations of the Patent Law, etc. In recent years, Dr. Bisheng Shi has represented a large number of cases in the Supreme People's Court, various intellectual property courts or tribunals, and the China National Intellectual Property Administration. For example, Dr. Bisheng Shi represented Ankon Technology in the "first patent case of the SSE STAR Market" and won all eight cases. Dr. Bisheng Shi represented Shaoxing Baisheng in three patent infringement appeals before the Supreme People's Court and won the three cases, two cases of which were reversed, and one case of which was upheld. Dr. Bisheng Shi also represented Viessmann in a series of complex trademark invalidation and administrative litigation, trademark infringement and unfair competition litigation, and won all the appeals or retrials before the Supreme People's Court and Guangdong High People's Court. Dr. Bisheng Shi has published three monographs, including Research on Assessment of Inventive Step of Patent, Judicial Perspective on Patentability, and Judicial Protection for Digital Network Intellectual Property, and has published nearly one hundred academic papers in journals or newspapers such as Chinese Journal of Law, Journal of Comparative Law and People's Court Daily. Dr. Bisheng Shi is the executive director of China Intellectual Property Society, the director of Intellectual Property Law Association of China Law Society, the director of China Law Association on Science and Technology. Dr. Shi has been teaching legal practice lessons as a mentor for juris master students at China University of Political Science and Law for a long time.
