Zhong Lun Partner Jimmy Huang was Invited by ITMA to Speak at Evening Talk
On 28 October 2014, invited by The Institution of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA), Zhong Lun Partner Jimmy Huang delivered a speech of Update on Trademark Law and Practice in China at the regular ITMA evening talk. Mr Huang introduced to over 50 honored guests attending the conference the key points of new Trademark Law of the PRC which came into force on 1 May 2014, the new trends of trademark practice in China in recent years and the effects to be brought to British and European enterprises who were seeking brand protection in China. Rich contents of the speech with profound meaning and simple terms gained Mr Huang high praise from the attendees.
Founded in 1934, ITMA aimed to promote high standards of training, qualification and continued learning. With about 1,600 members, ITMA had achieved authoritative position in British legal service industry. This talk was hosted by President of ITMA, Mr Chris McLeod who is also Director of Trade Marks at Squire Patton Boggs (UK) LLP. The attendees of the conference were representatives of British trademark practitioners such as Cath Kitston, De Beers, Charles Russell Speechlys, Sipara, etc.
