Partner Li Haiqing Advises on Jinmajia Project of China Beijing Equity Exchange
At the invitation of China Beijing Equity Exchange (“CBEX"), on June 11, 2010, Zhong Lun Law Firm partner Li Haiqing from Beijing office attended the "Seminar on Legal Due Diligence Reports Marketing System" of Jinmajia Project. Mr. Li advised CBEX on such matters as the "role and function of lawyers in transactions", "due diligence entrusting party", "scope and standards of legal opinions", "pricing on due diligence reports", “control on related risks of lawyers". His advice was highly regarded and appreciated by CBEX.
Since its establishment in December 2009 in Beijing, Jinmajia has set up workstations in 23 equity exchanges such as Qinghai, Inner Mongolia, Dalian, Tianjin, Hainan and Guangzhou. In line with the principle of integration of capital, human resource and businesses, co-building and sharing, Jinmajia functions as an on-line equity exchange across China to jointly develop businesses and pool resources on transactions of equity and assets, without harming the independence and original interest structure of the member exchanges.
Jinmajia is planning to launch a “legal due diligence reports marketing system" driven by law firms in which the lawyers will be engaged to provide due diligence investigation on potential transactions and the relevant reports and legal opinions of the lawyers on genuineness, validity and legality of the potential transactions will be used as the fundamental basis to be relied on by the transacting parties. It is the intention of CBEX and Jinmajia to design the system as a facilitator or catalyst leading to success of more transactions.
