Zhong Lun Recently Completed Several PE Financing Projects

In November 2009, SIG and Sequoia Capital jointly invested in Shaanxi Bicon, a leading traditional Chinese medicine and chemical medicine producer, through the subscription of convertible notes. The Zhong Lun Team, led by Anthony Zhao and including Luke Zhang, Gu Shuli, Fang Kun and John Shen, has acted as the investors’ counsel and provided the cross-border legal services throughout this transaction.

Earlier in August 2009, Zhong Lun represented the financing parties, including D.E. Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and HSBC, in connection with the restructuring of promissory notes payable by Glorious Property with the total redeemable principal of US$710 million. Such restructuring paved the way for the follow-on public listing of Glorious Property in Hong Kong. The Zhong Lun Team, led by Anthony Zhao and including William Jia and Fang Kun, has acted the PRC legal counsel to the financing parties.
