Taikang Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (“Taikang") recently completed a transaction whereby it makes investment on an office building located at the center of Chicago by acquiring a portion of shares in the project company which ultimately holds the interest in the real property. The investment scale is US$ twenty million. Zhong Lun represented Taikang in the transaction and provided full legal services for this project, including legal due diligence, issuing Chinese legal opinion, reviewing transaction documents, and assisting in the filing with China Insurance Regulatory Commission, etc. Zhong Lun’s legal services were led by Yuhong YANG (Partner) and Richard ZENG (Partner) with support from associates Wangqing SUN, Yingjing WU, Jun YE and Si WU from Zhong Lun’s Beijing Office.
