On June 11, 2020, NetEase, Inc. (9999.HK, Nasdaq: NTES) announced its offering and secondary listing on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, and became the second overseas issuer that completed the secondary listing in Hong Kong. The net proceeds from this offering were approximately HK$21 billion prior to the exercise of the over-allotment option. CICC, Credit Suisse and J.P. Morgan acted as the joint sponsors for the offering.
NetEase started as a key Chinese internet portal in the late 1990s, and has been listed on the Nasdaq since June 2000. Now it has a successful online game business and is the second largest mobile game company in the world. NetEase has also incubated and developed in-house Youdao (NYSE: DAO), a leading intelligent learning platform in China, and a pipeline of other innovative and thriving businesses, ranging from music streaming (NetEase Cloud Music) and private label e-commerce (NetEase Yanxuan) to internet media, email services and others.
