Eric YAN
Mr. Juntao (Eric) Yan represents clients in many high-profile litigations, arbitrations and other dispute resolution proceedings, covering sectors from investment and financing and PE/VC to construction projects/real estates and many more. Eric is applauded for designing dispute resolution strategies tailored to clients’ business objectives and commercial practice.
In the area of construction and project development, Eric provides legal services in specific sub-areas ranging from land use right transactions, real estate construction (including land use right acquisition, filing of construction projects with authorities, project bidding and tendering, project repricing and claiming, completion acceptance and property sales, and property management), urban renewal and HOPSCA development to real estate financing and asset securitization (e.g., REITS, ABS, BOT, BT).
In the area of domestic and cross-border M&A and PE, Eric acts as the lead counsel in a number of transactions. He provides high-quality legal services and solutions covering the entire transaction process for many state-owned enterprises, listed companies, asset management institutions, and private equity funds.
Representative Matters
Eric Yan graduated from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, the University of Edinburgh, and BPP Law School. He has been admitted to PRC bar and passed the English Common Professional Examination (CPE). He worked at King & Wood Mallesons (Shenzhen) and Kerry Construction Group’s Hong Kong Legal Department and is currently an equity partner at Zhong Lun Law Firm’s Shenzhen office.
Eric provides comprehensive real estate and construction services, including real estate and construction business (covering areas ranging from obtaining and trading of land use right, project application and tender and bidding, to project certification and claim, inspection and acceptance of construction, property sales, real estate management, etc), urban complex development, real estate financing/asset-backed securitization and urban renewal (old city renovation). In addition, Eric has handled many real estate and construction project disputes, investment and financing disputes and corporate litigations/arbitrations.
Having practiced law for nearly 20 years, Eric has a wealth of experience in resolving disputes involving corporate, financing and securities matters. He represents clients in litigation/arbitration proceedings involving corporate control, trust/private equity and securities disputes, and provides comprehensive solutions by employing an integrated approach of litigation/arbitration, commercial transaction and negotiation. In addition, Eric has rich legal service experience in M&A, corporate compliance and corporate governance.
