Feng WANG

Mr. WANG Feng specializes in trade compliance management and customs matters.
Mr. Wang's professional services mainly include leading the implementation of international trade compliance projects and export control projects in China, top-level structuring of companies' cross-border trade and supply chain, and construction of trade compliance system, including but not limited to compliance requirements on importation, exportation and market entry, cost analysis on taxes, compliance review on transaction parties, and cooperation with various administrative investigations by Customs on enterprises. Services are provided in industries of automobile, telecommunication, production of medical products, manufacturing of aviation and heavy equipment, cosmetics, garments, food and agricultural products, etc. Before joining Zhong Lun, Mr. Wang has worked for several Top 500 multinational companies in industries of automobile, production of medical products, and telecommunication, one of the "big four" accounting firms and a "Red Circle" law firm with over 20 years of theoretical and practical experience.

Representative Matters

Representative project experience in international trade compliance is as follows:

  • Assisted various well-known Chinese companies in implementing their first exportation project;

  • Assisted well-known Chinese companies in reviewing their internal trade compliance status, and improving their internal control processes;

  • Assisted well-known Chinese and foreign companies in the valuation on imported products, the assessment on tariff classification, the compliance review on processing trade, the reconciliation of processing trade handbooks, etc.;

  • Led key Customs cases of dispute resolution and administrative review on price structure involving pre-rulings on price, royalty, warranty expense, etc; and

  • Provided trade compliance training for overseas sales projects of many well-known central state-owned enterprises.


Representative project experience in the area of export control and economic sanctions is as follows:

  • Led a Chinese company in coordinating with the U.S. headquarters on the implementation of a U.S. export control project in China;
    helped companies adjust their operations after being blacklisted by the U.S.;

  • Assisted a well-known Chinese manufacturer of home appliances to establish export compliance management system;

  • Provided perennial legal advisory services related to trade compliance for a well-known Chinese representative enterprise in the TMT field and built its compliance system of exportation and sanctions; and

  • Provided consultancy on issues related to U.S. sanctions for various well-known financial institutions.
