Ms. WU practices in Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection and TMT. She has extensive experience advising companies across sectors such as IT, cloud computing, communications, mobile payment, automobile, intelligent connected vehicle (ICV), finance, media, energy, aviation, manufacturing, entertainment, and finance on all aspects of cybersecurity, data compliance and E-commerce compliance. She brings a pragmatic, strategic approach to helping leading Internet companies and group companies tailor compliance schemes for digitalization of their business model.

  • Advised CITIC Group and CITIC Cloud on cybersecurity, data protection and GDPR compliance projects

  • Provided GDPR compliance services to a well-known network equipment and communication service provider.

  • Provided multi-jurisdictional data compliance for multiple well-known IoT manufacturers  including but not limit to the GDPR.

  • Provided multi-jurisdictional data compliance services for a well-known game company in Japan, Korea, and the EU.

  • Advised a major SOE bank on cross-border data transfer issues. 

  • Provided long-term legal services to Tencent in the areas of cross-border e-commerce, personal information protection law compliance, WeChat platform compliance, and Internet finance compliance.

  • Provided legal services to Microsoft China on data compliance and cybersecurity compliance.

  • Provided legal services to Oracle on GDPR, cybersecurity compliance and cloud computing services in China.

  • Provided legal services to Cisco on data compliance, cloud computing services and value-added telecommunication qualification in China.

  • Provided legal services to a number of well-known domestic and foreign enterprises (including manufacturing, FMCG, luxury goods, etc.) in relation to the implementation of and compliance with the Cybersecurity Law and GDPR.

  • Provided legal services for a number of fintech companies in the field of credit investigation compliance and financial data compliance, including but not limit to Baihang Credit, CCB Fintech etc..

  • Provided genetic data compliance services for medical and healthcare companies such as BGI.

  • Provided legal services for a number of high-tech companies in the field of generative AI application.

  • Provided compliance assessment services for a number of data products on the Shanghai Data Exchange.

  • Provided compliance services for many state-owned enterprises in the areas of cross-industry data center establishment, data sharing, and data fusion.

  • Provided legal services on self-driving compliance, data security and cybersecurity for a number of international automobile companies and related suppliers.


IP Transactions

  • Acted for ARM, a leading semiconductor IP provider, in relation to its IP sharing and licensing transactions with its joint venture companies in China.

  • Provided compliance services to Beijing Rail Transit Technology and Equipment Group Co. Ltd. on the introduction of foreign technology and the establishment of joint ventures.

  • Provided compliance services to Luthai Textile Co., Ltd on the introduction of foreign technology and the establishment of joint ventures.
