On January 19, 2024, ALB published the “2024 ALB China Regional Ranking: Circum-Bohai Sea Area Firms & Rising Lawyers”, and Zhong Lun was once again included in the list, with partner Tao Jiang recognized as one of the “Rising Lawyers”.
Mr. Tao Jiang, once an executive of a large group company, is well versed in debt restructuring, bankruptcy reorganization, and enterprise turnaround management. He is a master at applying legal insights to enterprises, industries, and operation management, and has profound practical experience in debt-entailed bankruptcy and restructuring of large enterprise groups. Mr. Jiang has managed a host of high-profile, industry-transforming mandates featuring a great number of affiliated companies and colossal amounts of debts, with some of the cases selected into the “Top Ten Guiding Bankruptcy Trial Cases” by Shandong Province High People’s Court, and the Supreme People’s Court dedicated a whole chapter in the People’s Court Newspaper to praise cases advised by Mr. Jiang as a fine example where handling of cases helped optimize the business environment. Mr. Jiang has been actively promoting both the theories and practice of factorized bankruptcy, non-bankruptcy restructuring, and turnaround management that can effectively rescue enterprises from their distress. He combines debt restructuring, bankruptcy reorganization, merger and acquisition divestiture, disposal of non-performing assets, industrial investment, etc., and formulates and strengthens the supporting services for the promotion of bankruptcy and restructuring business, thereby contributing significantly to building an “ecology of bankruptcy business”.
