Zhong Lun Partner Wei Zhou Honored as One of 2024 ALB China Top 15 Litigators
On February 20,2024, ALB published the list of “2024 ALB China Top 15 Litigators”, and Wei Zhou, Zhong Lun partner, was recognized on the list.
Ms. Zhou specializes in securities compliance, securities litigation, and corporate litigation. As one of the pioneers focusing on securities compliance, Ms. Zhou has provided comprehensive legal services to dozens of listed companies, controllers, directors, supervisors, and senior management of these companies, securities intermediaries, and other market players in the areas of securities compliance, regulatory investigations and penalties, and administrative reconsiderations, with her services encompassing issues related to disclosure violations, insider trading, market manipulation, and failure to diligently exercise due diligence. She has worked on multiple representative cases, including the first administrative settlement case in the securities sector, the first off-market fund allocation case, the first ETF market manipulation case, and the first NEEQ market manipulation case in China.
Ms. Zhou also has rich practical experience in the field of securities litigation and represented dozens of listed companies, securities intermediaries to successfully deal with securities misrepresentation lawsuits, with many cases ended with her clients exempted from paying penalties. In the vast majority of these cases, the proceedings concluded with a substantial reduction in both the proportion and amount of penalties imposed on the clients. A number of the cases Ms. Zhou worked on carry great significance and serve as valuable guidance in the industry and made to the list of “Top 10 Influential Litigations in China”, “Top 10 Commercial Cases”, and “Top 10 Civil, Administrative, and State Compensation Cases of People’s Courts”.
In addition, Ms. Zhou is a director of the China Securities Law Institute and has participated in drafting several works on securities and company law.
