Zhong Lun partner Shengfeng Xu made to the “2024 ALB China Top 15 Insolvency & Restructuring Lawyers” list released by Asian Legal Business (ALB) on March 20, 2024.
Mr. Xu has years of dedicated experience in corporate bankruptcy and restructuring. He has managed many high-profile and complex bankruptcy and restructuring cases with national influence, taken the helm of or participated in the risk disposal and bankruptcy liquidation of multiple securities companies, as well as successfully handled, as the head of the team of administrators, restructuring of several listed companies, real estate companies, and large group enterprises, demonstrating his rich experience in corporate bankruptcy liquidation, restructuring, and debt restructuring. In addition to his accomplished career as a lawyer, Mr. Xu also serves as an expert in the bankruptcy law group of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), vice president of the Bankruptcy Law Research Association of Guangdong Law Society, and researcher at the Bankruptcy Law Research Center of Renmin University of China. He has been invited several times as a lawyer representative to contribute to the symposium on drafting the Bankruptcy Law’s judicial interpretation hosted by the Supreme People’s Court. Notable mandates led by Mr. Xu include bankruptcy liquidation of securities companies such as Han Tang Securities and MF Securities, restructuring of listed companies such as Zhejiang Unifull Industrial Fibre (002427), Guangzhou Lonkey (000523), CNNC Titanium Dioxide (002145), SUNRISE HOLDINGS (000030), Shenzhen China Bicycle Company (Holdings) (000017), and China Kejian (000035), as well as restructuring of large group enterprises such as Liaoning Huishan Dairy Group’s eighty-three companies and Fujian Anxi Tieguanyin Group. Among them, the restructuring of CNNC Titanium Dioxide and that of Fujian Anxi Tieguanyin Group and Anxi Tea Factory were selected as “Top Ten Guiding Bankruptcy Cases” by the Supreme People’s Court.
Asian Legal Business (ALB) launched the “Top 15 Insolvency and Restructuring Lawyers in China” award for the first time in 2024. The selection process involves comprehensive analysis of the representative mandates of the candidates, their significant projects over the past 12 months, awards and honors they have received, as well as client evaluations, to ultimately single out fifteen outstanding lawyers in this field for the year.
