On December 19, 2024, the Asian Legal Business (ALB) announced the list of “ALB Dealmakers of Asia 2024”, and Yan Gao, partner from Zhong Lun, was honored on the list.
Ms. Yan Gao has over 20 years of experience in fields of energy and resources, mergers and acquisitions, and foreign direct investment, among others. Her practice encompasses domestic and overseas investment, financing, and mergers and acquisitions in the energy industry, including oil and gas, new energy, and electricity, foreign direct investment, domestic and cross-border asset or equity transactions, infrastructure, and construction projects. Ms. Gao had worked for an international oil company and a foreign law firm and has rich practical experience. She has provided legal services to many multinational companies and large state-owned enterprises in China for their investment in China and abroad, including Borealis’ investment in China’s petrochemical industry, China Oil & Gas Pipeline Network Corporation’s acquisition of the equity in the United Pipeline, the overseas acquisition projects of China Southern Power Grid International (Hong Kong) Limited, and multiple wind power acquisition projects of Envision Energy.
Ms. Gao has developed a deep understanding of industry regulations and stays on top of policy trends. As a member of the Association of International Energy Negotiators, she actively participates in the discussions on emerging legal issues in the international energy sector and the modification and formulation of international standard contracts. With her profound professional competence and sharp insight, Ms. Gao was honored as one of the Top 15 Female Lawyers in ALB China 2024 and was recommended in the Projects & Energy category by The Legal 500.
