On April 21,2025, ALB published the list of “2025 ALB China Top 15 Litigators”, and Zhong Lun partner Jianwei (Jerry) Fang was recognized on the list.
Mr. Fang graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law with an LL.B. and Columbia Law School with an LL.M. and a J.D. and is qualified to practice law in China and the State of New York, the United States. His blend of legal education and bar admission spanning two distinct jurisdictions has broadened his practice horizons. Leveraging his diverse practical experience in China and tenures at international top law firms, Mr. Fang demonstrates strong capabilities in navigating legal principles and practices of different jurisdictions to deliver strategic and practical solutions to Chinese and foreign enterprises and institutions.
In cross-border dispute resolution, Mr. Fang has represented a number of foreign-funded enterprises that have entered the Chinese market under China’s “bring in” campaign and won high-profile, cutting-edge cases before Chinese courts, including cases concerning investment and financing disputes, anti-monopoly matters, intellectual property, global royalty rates for standard essential patents, etc. He has also provided foreign-related legal services, such as overseas litigation and compliance investigations, to Chinese enterprises that are “going global”.
Mr. Fang has in-depth credentials in the field of international arbitration. He has represented clients from multiple countries in cases at internationally renowned arbitration institutions, achieving victories in complex arbitration cases and effectively securing cross-border recognition and enforcement of the awards. In addition, as a lawyer qualified to practice law in both China and the United States, Mr. Fang has also represented Chinese enterprises and individuals in responding to litigations and injunctions before US federal and state courts and successfully handled various administrative and criminal investigations.
