On May 15, 2025, the “ALB China Law Awards 2025” ceremony, hosted by Asian Legal Business (ALB), unfolded with great fanfare in Beijing, and Zhong Lun Law Firm took home five prestigious awards, including the highest honor of “China Law Firm of the Year”, in both the law firm and the individual categories.

Mr. Baosheng Zhang specializes in securities compliance, securities litigation, securities crimes, and corporate litigation. As one of the earliest lawyers in China to take on securities compliance and litigation mandates, Mr. Zhang has assisted clients in handling hundreds of securities compliance cases, including violations of information disclosure, insider trading, market manipulation, etc. These cases include China’s first securities administrative reconciliation case, first securities administrative party commitment case, first off-exchange margin trading penalty case, and first ETF market manipulation cases. He has represented nearly 100 listed companies, securities firms, and other capital market entities in successfully addressing civil litigations for securities misrepresentation brought by large numbers of investors, including China’s first modal judgment for securities disputes, first representative litigation case for bond misrepresentation, first Science and Technology Innovation Board misrepresentation litigation, and first securities special representative litigation settlement. Many of these cases have been selected into China’s top ten influential lawsuits and top ten commercial cases by people’s courts. In recent years, Mr. Zhang has significantly expanded his expertise in securities crime business, successfully handling many major securities crime cases involving insider trading, market manipulation, crime of illegal disclosure or non-disclosure of important information, and crime of breach of trust causing damage to listed companies. He has also made remarkable strides in corporate litigation, where he excels in proposing creative and constructive dispute resolution strategies for clients facing intricate corporate disputes.
