New Year’s Greetings from the Managing Partner
Dear clients, friends and colleagues:
As the New Year is just around the corner, I would like to, on behalf of Zhong Lun Law Firm, extend our sincere gratitude to your support and wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.
In the past 12 months, we have weathered the most severe financial turbulence since China’s reform and opening up. Thanks to the support and the joint efforts of our clients and staff, we still made impressive achievements. We have had exciting news throughout the entire year in the areas of capital market, private equity and venture capital, real estate, finance, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, competition law, and international trade. Our financial results, which are comparable to that of 2008, exceeded our expectations and ensured that we will be able to continue our increased investment in resources to better serve clients in the coming year.
In 2009, we implemented our established development plan. At the beginning of the year, Zhong Lun Wuhan office was established on schedule, strengthening our service capability in the central region; at the year end, Zhong Lun Hong Kong office opened, further expanding our international service capacities. We have also made significant investments in firm infrastructure. Our Beijing office was moved to the 36-37 floors of SK Tower, with close to 6,000 square meters of space and equipped with modern office and conference facilities. Our Shenzhen office also relocated into a new building with significantly expanded space. With the support of a dedicated technical team from Microsoft, our case management system development has completed its third phase, providing more powerful features and more user-friendly interfaces to facilitate efficient team work, thereby laying a strong foundation for our firm’s integration effort.
New Year’s bell is about to ring. Let’s open a new chapter together for the Year 2010.
