Partner Mr. Wilson Huo Appointed to List of Arbitrators of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre
At the beginning of 2011, Zhong Lun Law Firm partner Mr. Wilson Huo has been appointed by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) to its List of Arbitrators.
Wilson has extensive experience in the area of dispute resolution, in particular cross-border arbitration. In the past year, besides representing in cases before the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Wilson also represented clients in cases arbitrated by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), the Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC) and other international arbitration institutions. For example, in 2010 he represented a client before the AAA against a Fortune 500 company. The case went through the process of negotiation, arbitration, mediation and then negotiation again. After repetitive and arduous work, Wilson and his team eventually helped reach a settlement agreement with the counterpart ending up with payment of roughly USD 2.5 million to the client.
Established in 1985, the HKIAC is one of the premier international arbitration institutions in Asia. It plays an irreplaceable role in resolving disputes in relation to the China mainland, Southeast Asia and other regions.
