On June 12, 2015, Mr. LI Ya and Ms. SUN Hui, partners of Zhonglun Law Firm, were invited to attend the Workshop on Clean Water and Sino-Italian Cooperation jointly held by the Institute of Quantitative and Technical Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (IQTE—CASS), Department for Sustainable Development, Environmental Damage, EU and International Affair of the Ministry for Environment, Land and Sea of the Republic of Italy, China Environment Chamber of Commerce and M&D Strategy Consultancy, and delivered the speech in respect of China Water Pollution Control Market and Sino-Foreign Cooperation.
As the promulgation of China Action Plan for Water Pollution Prevention and Control and series of implementation rules, the field of water pollution prevention and control has started to open to extensive private capitals and has provided mounts of commercial opportunities for various capitals inclusive of foreign capitals. Based on yearly practical experiences, Mr. LI Ya and Ms. SUN Hui gave an extensive introduction about investment opportunities, business models, financing channels and risk controls in the field of water environment and explained in details the financing models and characteristics thereof with regard to the involvement of foreign capitals and the PPP models widely used in the water industry.
Other invitees and speakers includes experts from the Chinese Academy of Social Science, Ministry of Environmental Protection of China, Italian Ministry for Environment, Land and Sea , Asian Development Bank (ADB), local China governmental authorities and industrial players in both China and Italy.
