Partner ZHANG Baisha provided antitrust law training to officials of countries along the Belt and Road
On 14th June, 2017, Mr. ZHANG Baisha provided training on Chinese antitrust law to economic officials of countries along the Belt and Road at the invitation of Department of Foreign Assistance of MOFCOM. Nearly 70 officials from more than 30 countries attended the training.
In the training, Mr. ZHANG first introduced the regulatory structure of Chinese antitrust laws, and with extensive data summarized the law enforcement records of Chinese antitrust authorities, including NDRC, SAIC and MOFCOM, since the implementation of Anti-Monopoly Law of People’s Republic of China (AML) in 2008. Then regarding the significance of AML to international activities and the Chinese market economy, Mr. ZHANG explored topics with his insight on extraterritorial jurisdiction, fair competition review system, statutory monopoly, administrative monopoly etc., and presented a comprehensive and detailed picture of AML.
Mr. ZHANG’s training was highly recognized by the attendees. Officials of many countries exchanged views and had in-depth discussions with Mr. ZHANG on antitrust law.
