Zhong Lun Advises China Datang Corporation Renewable Power Co., Limited on HK Main Board IPO
On December 17, 2010, China Datang Corporation Renewable Power Co., Limited (“Datang Renewable Power"; stock code: 1798) got listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board, and the number of shares in the global offering hit 2,142,610,000 (subject to the Over-Allotment Option), raising approximately 5 billion Hong Kong dollars(subject to the Over-Allotment Option).
Zhong Lun Law Firm Partner Guo Kejun and Jia Chen led a team that comprised associates Wei Haitao, Wang Hongyu and Yaoliang as the PRC legal advisor for Datang Renewable Power, advising on the reorganization and listing of H shares. UBS and China Everbright were the Joint Sponsors and Global Coordinators; UBS, J.P.Morgan, Credit Suisse, Macquarie, China Everbright and Cinda International were collectively the Joint Bookrunners and Joint Lead Managers.
Datang Renewable Power was directly and indirectly possessed by China Datang Corporation before listing. China Datang Corporation is one of five largest power generation central enterprises in China, the largest enterprise in Asia and a Global 500 company in 2009. Datang Renewable Power principally engages in wind power generation, and is the second largest wind power enterprise in China.
