Zhong Lun Advises SIG and Goldman Sachs on Series A Investment in Paixie

On March 26, 2012, Paixie, a China-based online sales platform for shoes, announced that it has completed the Series A financing from SIG and Goldman Sachs with the amount of more than US$10 million. The Zhong Lun team, led by Anthony Zhao and also composed of Mona Hu, Shen Jin and Vega Huang, acted as the lead counsel for the investors and provided cross-border legal services throughout the whole financing.

According to its website, Paixie, based in Shishi, East China’s Fujian Province, is the biggest domestic online shopping mall of shoes with more than 1.2 million registered customers and over 3 million page views each day.

Private equity is one of the core practice areas of Zhong Lun. The law firm’s private equity team has been ranked in Band 1 for consecutive years by Chambers Asia-Pacific. Chambers Asia-Pacific 2012 commented, “the whole team is technically sound, quick to respond and client-oriented’.
