On March 26, 2012, J.M. Smucker Co. announced its strategic investment into Guangxi Guilin Seamild Biologic Technology Development Co., Ltd. at a total amount of USD35,000,000. Led by Jeremy Dai, Zhong Lun team, composing of Grace Wang, Wilson Lu and Daniel Zhang has been acting as the PRC legal counsel for Guilin Seamild in this transaction.
Large-scale US food-manufacturer as it is, J.M. Smucker Co. deemed this investment as the exciting step it has made toward its overall scheme of stabilizing its presence in China. Guilin Seamild is a private owned oat producing and distribution company, headquartering in Guilin.
