Zhong Lun Advises China Life on Its Investment in US Uber
China Life Insurance Company Limited (“China Life") recently completed a transaction whereby it made investment in Uber Technologies, Inc. by subscribing Series E Preferred Stock in the company. Zhong Lun Law Firm represented China Life in the transaction and provided full legal services for this project, including legal due diligence, issuing Chinese legal opinion, reviewing transaction documents, and assisting in the filing with China Insurance Regulatory Commission, etc. Zhong Lun’s legal services were led by Richard ZENG (Partner) with support from associates Wangqing SUN and Jun YE from Zhong Lun’s Beijing Office. The project was the first amongst the outbound investments made by Chinese insurance companies in an industry other than real estate and finance recently.
