Zhong Lun Won Two Arbitration Cases before China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (“CIETAC”) for ARC Capital Holdings Limited (“ARCH”)
In June 2014, Zhong Lun won a CIETAC award of around RMB 100 million for ARCH in an equity transfer dispute. The arbitral award was later subject to a setting-aside procedure and an enforcement proceeding. In June 2015, Zhong Lun successfully assisted ARCH to recover all the awarded amount as well as associated costs and expenses.
In June 2015, Zhong Lun won another CIETAC award for ARCH in an equity investment dispute, with the amount awarded exceeding RMB 550 million.
ARCH is a private equity fund listed on the AIM of the London Stock Exchange, with its investment in China focusing on education, commercial retail, home furnishing and real estate sectors.
The cases were led by dispute resolution partner Zhang Decai, with the assistance of non-equity partner Wang Bing and associates Hua Ping, Wan Qiuqin, Zhang Li, Li Xinqian, and Chen Tianran.
