Recently, Mediobanca has acted as the agent bank and provided a syndicated loan for the merger transaction of a large multinational corporation. The total credit quota was nearly EUR800 million. The members of the syndicate included dozens of international and regional banks such as Intesa San Paolo S.p.A. and Barclays Bank Plc. This loan was guaranteed by dozens of enterprises from different countries and regions including a PRC subsidiary of the borrower.
As the PRC counsel for the lenders, Zhong Lun Law Firm worked together with the Milan office of an international law firm headquartered in London for the transaction. The legal team from Zhong Lun Law Firm was led by Michael Zhang, who was supported by Tu Hao.
