Zhong Lun Assists DIA in Establishing a Representative Office in Shanghai to Facilitate International Drug Development and Cooperation
Drug Information Association, Inc. (“DIA") is an international non-profit organization founded in 1964 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., with dedicated offices in Europe, Japan, and India. DIA’s primary objective is to facilitate knowledge sharing in the field of international drug technology R&D through exchange and cooperation, which will ultimately lead to better drug technology research capabilities.
Zhong Lun successfully assisted DIA in registering and establishing Drug Information Association (US) Shanghai Representative Office (“DIA Shanghai Representative Office") in China on May 13, 2024, in accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on Administration of Domestic Activities of Overseas Non-government Organizations in China (“INGO Law"). To promote international communication and collaboration in the field of drug research and development, DIA Shanghai Representative Office will: (1) initiate international drug technology exchange and cooperation, (2) facilitate knowledge sharing in the field of international drug technology R&D, and (3) foster the development of drug technology research capabilities.
This project was led by partner Hengka (Henry) Ji, who provided DIA with full-range legal services for application for the establishment of DIA Shanghai Representative Office, international project cooperation and filing, and tax law matters among others. The project team members also included associates Yutong Xu, Xin Guan, Chenghang Qiu, etc.
