Shiyi WANG
With nearly ten years of professional experience in Zhong Lun Law Firm and rich experience in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, Wang Shiyi can provide a full range of legal services. It was estimated that some 200 dispute settlement cases had been conducted to date by him in China's people's courts at all levels and arbitration institutions, ranging from the area of real estate and construction projects to the area of leasing and personal injury.
Meanwhile, as a member of the Shanghai Bankruptcy Administrator Association, Mr. Wang leads Zhong Lun Shanghai Office advising on bankruptcy and reorganization projects, such as the bankruptcy liquidation project of Gangtai Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Gangtai Property Co., Ltd., Sanpower Group Co., Ltd. etc..
Mr. Wang is also rather experienced in corporate compliance and he has participated in formulating the Standards for Compliance Evaluation and Certification of Small and Medium Enterprises entrusted by the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises. He has provided perennial legal services to dozens of clients, such as Shanghai Goku Data Com Center, Shanghai Cura Investment & Management Co., Ltd. etc..

Cases concerning Dispute Resolution
Represented a publicly listed construction company in suing a counterparty in a trust investment dispute where the subject of the dispute exceeded CNY 50 million
Represented a Taiwanese businessman in handling disputes over the right to use a commercial plaza in Shanghai and subsequent property management and transaction matters, winning over CNY 500 million
Represented a central state-owned enterprise in a repurchase agreement dispute where the subject matter of the dispute exceeded CNY 200 million. The first and second case both involved a breach of the repurchase agreement that the other party pledged to. After the breach occurred, it drew a great deal of attention from the industry and the media
Represented a Taiwanese-funded enterprise in the second trial phase of a dispute over the ownership of a shopping center in Shanghai’s Putuo district. Despite the first trial being lost, through teamwork, we were able to turn things around in our favor under extremely adverse conditions before the second trial commenced
Represented an investor in an investment dispute involving CNY 15 million and froze the defendant’s key assets within one month of taking over the case and facilitated the mediation between the two parties
Represented a central state-owned enterprise in a dispute arising from the performance of the agreement on the transfer of stock rights where the subject of the dispute exceeded CNY 40 million
Represented Sun Hung Kai in handling two commercial rental disputes in commercial buildings held by it, and won the entire case after countersuing and was awarded CNY 15 million
Represented the future building owner in handling lease contract disputes with the largest tenant in the building and implementing their contract, ultimately wing the case and being rewarded CNY 20 million
Provided full legal services for a commercial building on Huaihai Road, including but not limited to judicial bids, negotiating a buyout with the property right holder, rent clearance, renovations, leasing, sales, etc.
