Yidong WEI

Mr. Yidong Wei joined Zhong Lun Law Firm in 2005. Mr. Wei is a partner in the Beijing office, and his practice focuses on the China private equity real estate practice and REITs. Mr. Wei is keen on providing legal solutions to clients on cross-border real estate transactions and on resolving complicated legal issues in China. He has significant experiences advising international and local private equity investors and financial institutions on a wide array of real estate matters, including acquisition and disposition of various types of real property, formation of joint venture, asset and property management, and built-to-suit lease and also a wider range of real estate sectors (such as industrial, warehousing and logistics, data center, office, retail, residential, hotel, leased housing and infrastructure projects); he also has significant practices in advising institutional investors on offshore REITs, and China quasi-REITs, the first batch of pilot schemes for establishing China Real Estate Investment Trusts (C-REITs).
Mr. Wei received his Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) degree from University of International Relations in Beijing and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Duke University School of Law. He lectures regularly for many educational and commercial institutions.

  • Yidong Wei has significant practice in advising institutional investors on offshore REITs, and China quasi-REITs, which are special asset management schemes supervised by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). With such expertise, Yidong Wei was deeply involved in first batch of pilot schemes for establishing China Real Estate Investment Trusts (C-REITs).  He acted as a lead partner in issuance and listing of Bosera China Merchants Shekou Industrial Park Infrastructure REIT and Gfund CRCC Yusui Highway Infrastructure REIT.  Yidong Wei is also assisting other mutual funds managers in their attempts of establishment of pipeline C-REITs
