Asia Legal Business (ALB) has recently compiled a new survey on the top 15 women lawyers in China for 2012. In the top position is Zhong Lun partner Audry Li ranked as No. 1
Audry has a 20-year working experience focusing on providing international legal services in the areas of corporate and M&A. According to ALB, Audry’s nomination is attributed to the high-quality legal services and the real value she has brought and created for clients. With female-specific patience and tolerance, she exhibits the qualities of modesty and pragmatic problem solving.
Despite displaying these “softer skills," Audry is not especially aware of her gender status in her business. As she says, “I retain clients because of my work performance and steady persistent cooperation, not my gender." To aspiring and junior female lawyers, she suggests developing a healthy personality and being “open-minded, curious, and sensitive to the world."
According to ALB, this 15-person list is based on a polling of hundreds of law firm clients for several surveys; the women profiled in the list have succeeded in every way imaginable, both professionally and personally, and are trailblazers for the next generation of female lawyers.
