The legal rating agency Benchmark Litigation has recently unveiled its “Benchmark Asia-Pacific’s Top 100 Women in Litigation 2024” list, on which Huawei Sun, Yueping Zhou, and Carol Zhu from Zhong Lun were honored. In addition, Jie Ma from Zhong Lun made to the “Benchmark Asia-Pacific’s Top 40 under 40 2024” list.

Ms. Huawei Sun is dedicated to the resolution of foreign-related commercial disputes and international investment treaty disputes. She has represented numerous complex commercial arbitration cases before various international arbitration institutions and under ad hoc arbitration rules. She has accumulated extensive practical experience in the field of investment arbitration through mandates such as securing a historic victory for the Chinese government in its first international investment arbitration case. With years of practice at international law firms, Ms. Sun is well-versed in both the common law and civil law systems as well as the respective rules of evidence. She currently serves as a member of the Council and the Proceedings Committee of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, and as the chair of Asia Pacific Arbitration Group of the International Bar Association (IBA).
Yueping Zhou

Ms. Yueping Zhou focuses on the full process of construction engineering and infrastructure projects, providing legal services for litigations and arbitrations. With over twenty years’ practical experience, she has represented many complex engineering litigation and arbitration cases. Notably, she successfully represented China 20th Metallurgical Group Corporation in a lawsuit against Shandong Ruyi, winning a result in favor of the client in the second instance before the Supreme Court and having the judgment enforced despite the adversity posed by the bankruptcy of the defendant. Ms. Zhou also serves as an arbitrator for ten arbitration institutions, including Shanghai International Arbitration Center, Beijing Arbitration Commission/Beijing International Arbitration Center, Shanghai Arbitration Commission, Nanjing Arbitration Commission, and Suzhou Arbitration Commission.
