On November 30, 2005, Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd. announced its initial public offering of American depositary shares on the Nasdaq National Market, which has raised US$72 million. Actions is a leading semiconductor chip designing company, providing system-on-a-chip solutions for the development and manufacture of personal media or MP3 players. This IPO is widely recognized as a pioneer and symbol of China’s entry into the world semiconductor design industry. Credit Suisse First Boston acted as the lead underwriter and sole book-runner for this IPO.
