Zhong Lun was elected the Director of National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors
On the recent opening session of the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors (http://www.nafmii.org.cn/), the firm, as the only law firm among the members, was elected as the director of this Association for a 4-year term and acted as legal counsel.
Approved by the State Council, the Association is a non-profit and self-regulated professional institute composed of more than 6500 institutional players in National Intra-bank Bond Market, intermediary services providers, and relevant experts and scholars, to organize and coordinate the members’ efforts in bringing forth new financial products and ideas using the national intra-bank bond market as a platform.
The establishment of the Association lays a new milestone of development of financial market in China. The Association will forcefully promote innovative products to the market, and play an administrative role for healthy development of the market. It is reported that for the products developed according to particular requirements of the members that are suitable for trading among the institutional investors which are capable of setting price, identifying and taking risks, when traded in the intra-bank market, will be regulated through registration with the Association and filing with the regulatory authorities for record, and no administrative approval is required.
Taking advantage of opportunity of participation in and provision of legal services to the Association, the firm will be able to do in-depth study of various financial products in the National Intra-bank Bond Market (such as asset backed securities, REITs and short term bonds), the first-hand information so developed will further equip us in provision of hi-value-added services to the firm’s business clients.
Mr. Liu Bo-rong attended the opening session on August 8, 2007 as the firm’s representative. Zhang Xue-bing and Liu Bo-rong are the contact persons interface with the Association.
