Zhong Lun Shanghai Office Hosted Round Table Discussion on ”Rules for Mediation and Arbitration of Labor Disputes”
On January 18, 2008, Zhong Lun Shanghai Office hosted a round-table seminar on the topic of “Rules for Mediation and Arbitration of Labor Disputes". Co-chaired by Jeremy Dia and Gong Le-fang of Shanghai Office, the seminar focused on several technical issues in connection with labor dispute mediation and arbitration. Two guest speakers, Ted St. Antoine, former dean of University of Michigan Law School, and Liu Jin-yun, director of China Labor Relations & Employment Center of U of M, delivered speeches and had discussion with the attending lawyers over the relevant labor matters emerged after the promulgation of the new Rules.
The attendants include HR directors of some multinational corporations and other labor lawyers. The partners, practising labor law in the four offices, also participated in the discussion through the Firm’s internal on-line conference system.
