Zhong Lun Partners Address Cross-Border Bankruptcy Seminar For CBRC
Zhong Lun partners shared their insights on cross-border bankruptcy, particularly on the Lehmans Brothers, at a seminar hosted by the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) in Beijing, on March 13, 2009.
Partner Yang Wantao began the seminar with an introduction of the China’s laws, regulations and judicial practices governing cross-board bankruptcy and relevant practices in other jurisdictions. Then he advised on measures to reduce the impact of the global financial crisis on China, and to better valuate and fine-tune supervision of financial institutions to adapt to the changing financial climate.
Later, Yang, joined by partners Xu Xueli, Huo Wei and Duan Lei, discussed with the attendees from several departments of the CBRC effective supervision of financial institutions to manage risks at the difficult financial times.
The CBRC spoke highly of the seminar and expected continued support from Zhong Lun in relevant professional areas.
