Partner Dr. Gong Addresses China Green Business Summit
Zhong Lun Law Firm partner Dr. Lefan Gong, from Shanghai Office, was a keynote speaker at the China Green Business Summit of China Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES) at the JW Marriot in Beijing on May 13-15, 2009.
Dr. Gong spoke on "Structuring Clean Energy Deals in China – Challenges from the Legal Perspectives." His presentation focused on energy management contracting, energy efficiency financing, private equity and venture capital investments in clean tech and clean energy sectors as well as CDM and carbon trading in China.
The theme of the Summit was the development trends of clean tech and clean energy sectors in China. Various speakers addressed how the current economic turmoil and government policy shifts are reshaping and transforming the “green business" and the implications for businesses across the board.
