Zhong Lun Holds 2010’s Second Partners Meeting in Beijing
Zhong Lun Law Firm held the second Partners Meeting of this year in Beijing from August 29 to 31, 2010. More than 100 partners from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Hong Kong and Tokyo offices attended the meeting.
At the meeting, managing partner Zhang Xuebing delivered a report on the overall work the Executive Committee has done in the first half of this year. Partners of the law firm’s Wuhan, Guangzhou, Tokyo and Hong Kong offices also briefed practice areas, client bases and development strategies of the offices. Later partners went into detail about the partner appraisal, and internal coordination.
At the three-day meeting, participating partners all agreed that since 2010 the domestic legal services market has been picking up. At the same time, the legal service segment continues to accelerate integration, and a number of different trends have emerged. In light of the legal environment, Zhong Lun should continue to take a stable development path, maintain a clear firm culture, strengthen team integration and competitive edge in high-end services with a view of maintaining steady growth of revenue. Great achievements have been made in the law firm’s specialization of practice areas, internal coordination and cooperation between partners, teams and offices, recruitment of talents and increase of lawyers’ salaries, and integration of the law firm’s knowledge management system. The major tasks of the law firm for the second half of the year should be to strengthen efforts in informationalization and administration. Beijing office should also provide other offices with more support and assistance in recruitment, trainings and market exploration.
The meeting also approved:
1. Admission of attorneys Fan Bin, Shi Chunxiang, Tang Qianhong and Yan Xiaochuan as partners; and
2. Plan to open a new office in Chengdu, Sichuan province.
