Partner Niu Lei Addresses Seminar on Drafting International Dispute Resolution Clauses
On 29 February 2012, L-Council (China Legal Executive Council) held a “Drafting International Dispute Resolution Clauses" seminar for corporation lawyers of the in-house counsel of multinational corporations in China and some big domestic companies. Partner Niu Lei was invited to give a topic lecture on legal subjects of arbitration.
Based on his rich experience of handling international and domestic commercial arbitrations as an arbitrator or a lawyer, Partner Niu Lei gave a highly perceptive analysis of the issues in respect of validity requirements of different countries’ arbitration law to an arbitration clause , how to choose proper elements such as arbitration rules, arbitrators, seats and language for the arbitration clause. And he further shared some professional advices about how to draft arbitration clauses for the benefit of corporation. In a word, his presentation which integrated theory with practice perfectly ignited the meeting .At the end of the seminar, Partner Niu Lei actively answered various questions brought up by the attendants.
The seminar was conducted by way of sky meeting, and invited corporation lawyers of more than 80 entities including the in-house counsel of world famous multinational corporations, large scale state owned and private enterprises from Beijing, Shanghai and other cities.
