Alan Xu Joins Zhong Lun Law Firm as a Partner in the Hong Kong Office
Zhong Lun Law Firm is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Xu as a partner of the firm, and Mr. Xu will be based in the firm’s Hong Kong office.
Prior to joining Zhong Lun, Mr. Xu was a partner at the international firm Simmons & Simmons. Before that, he worked for two other leading international law firms in Hong Kong. Mr. Xu clerked The Honorable Mary McLaughlin of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Mr. Xu received a Master of Law from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws from Peking University Law School. Mr. Xu is admitted to practice law in China and New York.
Mr. Xu’s practice focuses on advising clients in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other forms of investment. In his career, Mr. Xu has advised a number of high profile direct investment, M&A and restructuring transactions, some of which received awards and recognition from business publications and organizations such as Financial Times, Asia Transformation & Turnaround Association (ATTA), etc.
Commenting on the appointment of Mr. Xu, the firm’s Managing Partner Wu Peng said: “Alan’s appointment will further grow and strengthen the firm’s international practice. Alan’s rich experience in cross-border transactions will surely be of great value to the overseas expansion of the firm’s Chinese clients".
