On November 24th and 25th, 2016, sponsored by China Law Society and Great Britain China Center, organized by China Legal Exchange Center, and assisted by “The Belt and Road" Legal Service Cooperation Alliance, the “UK-China Rule of Law Roundtable" was held in Beijing. More than 200 preeminent representatives from legal institutions, law firms, industries and governmental authorities of UK and China participated in this roundtable conference. To further the development of the “Belt and Road" and the UK-China legal cooperation, the participants discussed in-depth issues on the topics of legal framework, legal risks and dispute resolutions along the “Belt and Road".
Mr. Wilson Huo, a partner from Zhong Lun Law Firm, attended the conference and delivered a speech on arbitration under the “New Normal". Wilson provided in-depth analysis on the new trends and new challenges for arbitration under the new economic development, pointed out that relying on a sole dispute resolution method may be unwise to resolve commercial disputes, and further proposed his new “Arbitration Plus" ideology to take advantage of other remedies while using arbitration as the base.
