Mr. Jianwei (Jerry) Fang has joined Zhong Lun Law Firm as a Partner in the Shanghai Office. Mr. Fang graduated from East China University of Politics & Law with LL.B. degree. After working at a Chinese court for a few years, he went to Columbia Law School and earned LL.M. and J.D. degrees. Mr. Fang practiced in the New York, Beijing and Hong Kong office of leading Wall Street law firms and was recently a partner at another leading PRC law firm.
As a former Chinese judge and an attorney admitted in China and U.S., Mr. Fang is highly recognized for his expertise in cross-board and domestic dispute resolution, compliance and investigations, corporate governance and investment law practice.
In the field of commercial litigation, Mr. Fang has acted for and on behalf of international and domestic clients handling commercial contracts, international trades, intellectual properties, architectural construction, horizontal competition and trade secrecy. Mr. Fang also assists clients with arbitration matters, including the enforcement of foreign arbitral award under Chinese law. As to white collar crimes, compliance and anti-bribery areas, Mr. Fang advises clients to conduct internal investigation, deal with the judicial authorities in China, and he is very experienced in designing proper compliance and internal risk control systems. In addition, Mr. Fang has provided foreign direct investment and corporate law services for many reputed companies, involving industries of network, high tech, manufacturing, retails, real estate, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and financing services.
