Zhong Lun Partner Wilson Huo Delivered a Keynote Speech during the Annual Conference of Chinese Arbitration Law of 2016 and awarded the Excellent Essa
On January 12th to 14th, 2017, the Annual conference of Chinese Arbitration Law of 2016, i.e., the 9th Forum of Chinese Arbitration and Justice was held in Changzhou. Over 500 preeminent representatives from legal circle, business circle and arbitration institutions participated in this conference and discussed in depth issues on the topics such as how to enhance the social credibility of arbitration in the mainland of China.
Mr. Wilson Huo, a partner from Zhong Lun Law Firm, attended the conference and delivered an opening speech in the “Chinese Arbitration Practice Forum" on January 14. In his speech, Wilson pointed out from numerous cases handled by his team that the development of commercial arbitration in the mainland of China is facing a myriad of internal and external challenges under the New Normal, especially the liberalization of power of the arbitration institutions and the arbitral tribunals. In order to respond to the new challenges, and to enhance the public credibility of arbitration, the ideology of “Arbitration+" has to be firmly established. In addition, Wilson’s essay New Ideologies to Enhance the Public Credibility of Arbitration from the Perspective of New Trends and New Challenges under the New Normal for Commercial Arbitration in Mainland of China was awarded as the Excellent Essay out of 330 essays presented to the conference.
