Zhong Lun Partner, Scott Guan, Elected President of World Law Group
Scott Guan, partner and head of the Corporate Department of Zhong Lun Law Firm, was elected President of the Board of Directors of World Law Group (“WLG") at the elections of WLG held on October 15, 2021. WLG, established in 1988, is one of the oldest and largest global networks of independent full-service law firms. This is the first time that a Chinese lawyer assumes the post of President of WLG.

At present, WLG has 61 member firms, with a total of more than 21,000 practicing lawyers, covering more than 400 commercial hubs and financial centers across 93 countries/regions. All of WLG’s member firms are leading firms in their national and local markets recognized by renowned legal rating agencies such as Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, and the International Financial Law Review. WLG is ranked an Elite Global Network by Chambers and Partners.
WLG adopts a strict selection system for its member firms and usually selects only one member firm in a country/region. As one of the largest leading full-service law firms in China, Zhong Lun was invited to join WLG in 2015 as the only Chinese member. Scott Guan has served as Asia Pacific Regional Director, Director, among other roles, of WLG since 2016. Scott Guan’s election as President of WLG reflects the international legal profession’s high recognition of the leapfrog development of China’s legal service industry as well as Zhong Lun’s distinctive strengths.
As the only Chinese member firm, Zhong Lun has established close business cooperation with law firms in various countries and regions as it assists China’s enterprises to go global and foreign businesses to enter China’s market.
