Zhong Lun Welcomes the Joining of Senior Advisor Zhao Bin
On this day 1st March of 2022, Zhao Bin, former global senior vice president of Qualcomm Inc. for legal and government affairs joined Zhong Lun as a senior counsel. Zhao is based in the firm’s Beijing Office and is also an Executive Council Member in the Center for China and Globalization.
During his tenure in Qualcomm Inc., Zhao Bin has been the person in charge of the corporate’s legal, government relations, intellectual property, regulatory compliance and administrative matters, and has been heavily involved in managerial duties in relation to risk control, commercial and trade services, corporate social responsibility and other key aspects. Prior to Qualcomm, Zhao Bin has had extensive practice experience in numerous reputable international law firms, including US based Baker & McKenzie, UK based DLA Piper and US based Morrison & Forrester, where he focused in a wide range of sectors including semiconductors and chips, telecommunication technology, consumer electronics, automobile, oil and gas and pharmaceuticals. Zhao was formerly a legal counsel to Intel China, and a vice president cum chief legal officer at Sony China for legal and government affairs.
US-law qualified Zhao Bin has held a number of social roles, where he served as a vice president at the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, and he was the vice president for the Beijing Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment. Zhao Bin’s joining would strengthen the firm’s professional capabilities in a number of its international offerings such as antitrust and competition, investment, M&A and corporate governance, regulatory compliance and anti-corruption.
