On September 11, Wealth Management Institute (“WMI") and the Global Asia Family Office Circle (“GFO Circle") organized and hosted the 2023 Global Asia Family Office Summit at the St. Regis Hotel in Singapore. The summit centered around the theme of “Building the New Era of Impact for Family Offices in Asia". GFO Circle is a professional forum supported by the Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). It has profound expertise in wealth and asset management education and multi-dimensional partnerships with family office communities, providing extensive support for the development of family offices in Singapore and other regions across Asia.
The summit provided a series of excellent masterclasses. Hengka (Henry) Ji, partner with Zhong Lun Law Firm, was cordially invited to share the considerations, concerns, challenges, and other issues concerning establishment of family offices overseas by ultra-high net worth clients with Chinese background in the masterclass of “Mapping the Needs of Great China Family Offices". In addition, together with many senior private wealth experts and scholars, Mr. Ji, leveraging his solid legal and tax knowledge and experience, also made comments and analysis on multiple complex cross-border wealth planning cases.
