On November 30, 2005, Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd. announced its initial public offering of American depositary shares on the Nasdaq National Market, which has raised US$72 million. Actions is a leading semiconductor chip designing company, providing system-on-a-chip solutions for the development and manufacture of personal media or MP3 players.
This IPO is widely recognized as a pioneer and symbol of China’s entry into the world semiconductor design industry. Credit Suisse First Boston acted as the lead underwriter and sole book-runner for this IPO.
Zhong Lun Law Firm acted as the PRC legal counsel for Actions, and its working team was comprised of Mr. Anthony Zhao, Ms. Zhang Xiaojun, Miss Shirley Song and Miss Selina Lv, all from its Shanghai office.
