Zhong Lun Secures Damages ICC Award Successfully for Clients
Zhong Lun Law Firm clients Automotive Gate FZCO and its affiliates filed breach of contract damages claims against a Chinese auto manufacturer. The ICC tribunal recently issued final award holding the respondent breached its contractual obligations and is liable for relevant damages award for loss of profits. The tribunal also awarded Zhong Lun clients compensations for arbitration costs and reasonable attorney fees.
Zhong Lun has acted as the lead counsel for the Hong Kong seated English and Chinese bilingual ICC arbitration. The ICC arbitration has lasted for almost four years, with a total of three weeks of trial, testified by 19 expert and factual witnesses from China, Egypt, UAE and the U.S., involving laws of multiple jurisdictions. The tribunal previously issued a partial award in favor of Zhong Lun’s clients.
