Taiping Life Insurance Company Limited (“Taiping Life") recently completed a transaction whereby it made investment in Uber Technologies, Inc. by subscribing Series F Preferred Stock in the company. Zhong Lun Law Firm represented Taiping Life in the transaction and provided full legal services for this project, including legal due diligence, issuing Chinese legal opinion, reviewing transaction documents, and assisting in the filing with China Insurance Regulatory Commission, etc. Zhong Lun’s legal services were led by Richard ZENG (Partner) with the support from associates Wangqing SUN and Jun YE from Zhong Lun’s Beijing Office along with the support from the New York office of Zhong Lun.
