Zhong Lun Assisted Taikang Healthcare Investment in its Strategic Collaboration with Mount Sinai International LLC
On November 16, 2018, Taikang Healthcare Investment Holding Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Taikang Insurance Group, and Taikang Xianlin Drum Tower Hospital Co., Ltd. a large general hospital operated under the Taikang brand, entered into a long-term strategic collaboration agreement with Mount Sinai International, LLC, a top-tier medical group in the world based in New York, USA. On the same day, Taikang Xianlin Drum Tower Hospital was also inaugurated as a Mount Sinai Affiliated Hospital. The Parties will be carrying out long-term and in-depth cooperation in aspects of medical treatment technology, hospital operation management, as well as talents training covering subjects from medical quality and safety, to IT system structuring and trainings, which will comprehensively enhance the medical treatment capability and level of services of Taikang Xianlin Drum Tower Hospital.
During the negotiation of this collaboration, Zhong Lun New York office and Shanghai office, acting as US and PRC legal counsels of Taikang, respectively, fully participated in the whole process of the project, including conducting legal due diligence on the cooperation partner, rendering legal advises on the decision-making and transaction structure of the project, drafting and revising all transaction documents, and deeply involved in the negotiation and implementation process of the project. The legal team from Zhong Lun was led by Partner Ling XIAO and Steve ZHAO, other core members of the team included Associate Jeffrey LIAO，Long GU, Yu JIN and Timo Feng TIAN.
