Zhong Lun Helps Ankon Win Eight STAR Market Patent Infringement Cases

Zhong Lun represented Ankon Technologies (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. ("Ankon") in eight patent infringement lawsuits brought against it by Chongqing Jinshan Medical Appliance Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Jinshan Science & Technology (Group) Co., Ltd. (collectively, "Chongqing Jinshan"). Of the eight patents that Zhong Lun had requested to invalidate, six were fully invalidated, and Chongqing Jinshan withdrew the six cases concerned and pressed on with the remaining two. With Zhong Lun’s efforts, the First Intermediate People’s Court of Chongqing Municipality dismissed all claims of Chongqing Jinshan against Ankon in the first instance of the two cases. Chongqing Jinshan appealed before the Intellectual Property Court of the Supreme People’s Court against one of the two judgments. Recently, the Intellectual Property Court rendered a final judgment, dismissing all claims of Chongqing Jinshan. So far, Zhong Lun has successfully defended Ankon in all eight patent infringement lawsuits, collectively known to the industry as the “First Patent Case of the STAR Market".
