A green syndicate arranged by BEA as MLAB and green loan structure bank, and SMBC as joint MLAB has recently granted a green loan facility to Cinda Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., with an initial amount of RMB 900 million and a green-shoe option. This green syndicate is the first green general syndication in the industry in line with the China-EU Common Ground Taxonomy, providing a boost to the development of green finance in China.
Zhong Lun Law Firm acted as the PRC counsel for the syndicate and provided comprehensive legal services for this financing project. The legal team was led by partners Shirley Lu and Sophia Chen from Zhong Lun’s Shanghai office, and the team also included associate Kristen Li, among others.
